Welcome to Kelly's of Roman Road Market Located in the heart of London's 'East End', within Roman Road Market, G. Kelly is a family owned traditional pie shop - established in 1937. We have an excellent reputation and our wealth of experience ensures a high quality product. We offer a full take-away service as well as 'eat-in'.

Pies

Our hand-made pies are produced using only fresh ingredients. They are prepared with our own pastry giving each pie its characteristic crispy top and softer base. Our pastry contains no hydrogenated fats. They are filled with fresh, (not frozen) good quality, traceable British beef. We use no artificial flavourings - just a little added seasoning. Made here in our own bakery and baked each day and throughout the day ensuring quality and freshness.

Vegetarian

Our 'Veggie' pie with a soya mince and onion filling is a product which is very popular; they are always available. We take care to ensure that there is no contact with our meat products during the production process and baking. All the ingredients are suitable for a vegetarian (and Vegan) diet. Our pastry contains no hydrogenated fats.

Fruit

We usually have a selection of our own Fruit Pies: Apple, Cherry or Raspberry and Fruit Crumbles. The pastry is suitable for vegetarians and contains no hydrogenated fats.

Mashed Potatoes

We naturally use only fresh potatoes which we buy direct from New Spitalfields Market. We try to source potatoes grown in East Anglia, usually Maris Pipers or Caras. We cook and mash the potatoes throughout the day as required.

Parsley Sauce

(The liquor!) Full of myth and mystery but really a simple sauce made to our own recipe. This includes parsley and seasoning but without additives or colourings. It is suitable for vegetarians We are always happy to serve our pies with gravy as an alternative.

Our eels have been supplied by the famous 'Barney's of Billingsgate ' for nearly forty years providing us with fresh eels for our hot eel trade and quality jellied eels.
